What We Do

Exhibit Design Associates (EDA) was founded in 1993, and has been operating under its current ownership structure and the direction of Managing Partner William (Biff) Baird since 2002. EDA specializes in exhibition design for museums, nature centers, zoos, aquaria and other informal learning facilities. Our core capabilities include:
• exhibition planning, design, fabrication and installation, including film-making
• recreation and tourism planning
• graphic arts and illustration, including large-scale murals
• market and audience analyses
• publications from brochures to children’s books
• business planning for informal learning facilities
• technical research and writing.
EDA has earned a well-deserved reputation for outstanding scholarship and exceptional skills in the visual arts, with proven capabilities to:
• design and execute events intended to achieve meaningful community participation in planning processes.
• build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups with different agendas and missions
• design and execute scientific surveys that measure visitor populations across both demographic and psychographic   dimensions.
• participate on inter-disciplinary project teams including biologists, engineers, recreation planners, architects, historians,   landscape architects, economists, land managers, master planners, social scientists and other technical experts
• work with American Indian communities to interpret native cultures.
