Sumner Lake Eagle Nest Lake

Red Canyon Visitor Center,
Dixie National Forest, UT
The Red Canyon Visitor Center is a USDA Forest Service facility located on Utah Highway 12 (a scenic byway) in the midst of a spectacular array of public lands: Zion and Bryce Canyon national parks, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Lake Powell NRA, and several state parks. One of its missions is to help visitors understand the patchwork quilt of jurisdictions in the area, and to help visitors choose among the myriad recreation opportunities available on the Dixie National Forest and adjoining public lands. Visitors can also learn about settlement history and culture, the workings of geological forces and contemporary management issues.
