Sumner Lake Eagle Nest Lake
Lookout Mountain Nature Center, Golden, CO
The Lookout Mountain Nature Center exhibits were designed to help visitors understand the importance of the Rocky Mountain Front as a flyway for migratory birds, explore the intricate ecological connections in a ponderosa pine forest and appreciatethe challenges faced by managers of open-space lands adjoining metroplexes where urbanization has claimed a large portion of the native landscape.
The project’s creative team coordinated the work of a diverse array of craftsmen and technical personnel during the fabrication/installation process, and worked hand-in-glove with Jefferson County Open Space staff during the design and text-writing phase.
