Larry wrote most of the panels for the Colorado Historical Society’s award-winning Roadside Interpretation Project, which the U.S. Department of Transportation hailed as one of the nation’s most innovative wayside programs. A twelve-year veteran of museum interpretation and publishing, Larry specializes in history, but has also written for the Denver Art Museum, Denver Botanic Gardens and Colorado Division of Wildlife. A former journalist, Borowsky has published articles in Sunset, Aspen Magazine, 5280, the Denver Post, and several others. In 2003, he received a Gold Mercury Award in Feature Writing for an article titled “After the War,” describing the campus experiences of World War II veterans who returned home and attended college on the GI Bill. Borowsky spent seven years as the editor of Colorado’s Official State Vacation Guide and currently edits Colorado History, a semiannual research journal published by the Colorado Historical Society.
