Janet Johnson, graphic artist/illustrator, planner, webmaster

Formerly a Forest Service recreation planner, Janet’s career highlights include development of the Ski Naturalist program at several northern Utah areas. She was responsible for the planning, design and construction of millions of dollars in recreation improvement projects while with the Wasatch-Cache National Forest, where she also developed skills in NEPA assessments as well as researching and writing management plans, grant applications and other technical documents. Janet is fluent in the language of every aspect of interpretive design, from planning and concept work to writing, illustration and graphic layout. A member of the Society of Children’s Bookwriters and Illustrators, she is dedicated to the principle of lifetime learning and continually updates her skills with classes at the University of Utah. Janet currently paints and displays her
